About Petra

Petra is the brainchild of the duo fashionprenuer Anwar Abdul Latip and Ammar Hazwan established in 2016 with the aim of creating sophisticated ready-to-wear. Known by their distinct art and high-end design, the brand, PETRA, signifies a strong elegant yet feminine woman. This translated well in the design where a good statement and vibrant floral prints have always play an important role in creating PETRA signature one-of-a-kind looks for each collection. Their keen attention to details and craftsmanship are highly transferred into artwork collection that leads to a trail of followers and fans who always crave the unexpected.

Inspiration

As avid travelers, Ammar and Anwar often got inspired in creating PETRA collections while being on the road. Breathing in the different air is how they figured out the fashion business, to bring a unique state of arts into life.

The man behind the art of PETRA aesthetics, creative director of PETRA, Ammar Hazwan believes that women who wear Petra are modern, elegant, and really know how to radiate sophistication without trying too hard.

“I don’t want the outfit being too loud nor too boring. I believe in the excitement of finding balance while creating concepts for new collections. When we hit the equilibrium, that is when the magic comes to life.” Ammar, the co-founder/designer.

Meanwhile, Anwar envisioned Petra as a leading Malaysia Ready-to-wear and lifestyle brand. “We would like to expend more than creating womenswear niche. We are extending our focus in creating kidswear, comfortable loungewear, accessories, lifestyle products, and merchandise. Give us some time to serve all the Petra Girls with our mission and vision.” Anwar, co-founder/designer.
